While I advocate for a high natural fat, vegetable-based carb diet for most people, I am often asked, “What should I eat for a snack?” With improved blood sugar stability, constant hunger becomes less of a reality and as a result, snacking becomes less necessary.

However, it’s not a bad idea to have a minimally processed, grab-and-go snack on hand, particularly for travel. I like Epic Bars, which feature a very short list of food-based ingredients and deliver good fats and protein, with some fruit-based carbs to jazz up the jerky flavor.
